Flash Dial Strings to Transfer 1

Does the MICS support flash dial strings to transfer. I am lookinag at using a PC based auto attendant but it requires this to work with a PBX.

The MICS is a key system not a PBX, but I don't think it does a flash hook.

you can only use hook flash to transfer if you are using ATA's (analog ports). I would assume that your auto attendant is analog, otherwise it would have a special norstar integration and you wouldn't be asking the question!

Thanks for the replies. Yes I am using ATAs. Is there any special setting i.e. timeouts,etc. that you know of that would need to be addressed? And, have you ever heard of using a PC base AA in this way?

norstar doesnt play well with 3rd party vm/AA and ATA's dont do disconnect supervision

Hi luv2ski, can I do disconnect supervision in the software? I know it has some timeouts for silence, etc.

Is the 3rd party voice card on the PC made by Intel? It would normally be a Dialogic board. Now the Dialogic board(Model D-82 JCT)I have seen it used from everything from 3rd party Voicemail to 3rd party IVR. the card can emulate a M7310 and a M7324 on the Norstar. On larger Option switches can emulate a M2616 as well as about 15 system phones from other manufactures. Dialogic also has the dial string for the card should you have analog ports. I have had bad luck interfacing with others, other then brook trout for fax purposes. Nortel also uses Dialogic boards on the own products. Hope this helps.
