Flash Detection Question

I have installed Macromedia Flash Player version 7,0,19,0 on both Internet Explorer and Firefox. When I run a detection script I get two different results. For Internet Explorer (although I installed the latest version) the script shows that I have version 6 installed. With Firefox instead, it recognizes the latest version no problem.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?
