Flaky BCM450 slot 3

I was testing some MBM's in a BCM450 and no matter which one I put in slot 2 it would either not work or intermittently work. The system was not throwing any alarms. I thought it might be the small board that the MBM's plug into, but I replaced it with one out of a BCM400 and there was no change. Then I checked the small interface board that the base tray slides into. The connectors on the board edge looked slightly oxidized so I rubbed it with a large pencil eraser and then wiped it off with denatured alcohol. I booted up the system and now everything works normally. So if you have flaky operation from MBM's try cleaning the contacts on the interface board. The problem might be simply dirty contacts.
