Hey I have a bit of a problem. I have 2 LCD monitors and both do the same when I use Linux and now Solaris 10 which I just installed for the first time. The problem is both the left and right side of the screen are very clear and sharp but the centre is slightly blurred. If I press the auto adjust on the monitor sometimes it will make the middle clear but the edges blurred. Also the right hand of the screen is slightly cut off. In Linux to fix this I usualy just change the resolution to 1024x768 at 60hz instead of 75. In solaris when I right click the desktop in Java desktop and select change resolution, I can only choose 75hz. Is there a way to change it to 60 or 65 without messing everything up since I'm new to solaris and if I can't get into the GUI i'll be pretty clueless. Thanks!

I am having a similar problem. When installing Solaris, my screen resolution was 1024x768 (saying I could go up to 1280x1024). When I boot, my resolution is 640x480. Normally in Linux, I'd run xf86config or xconfigure. My OWconfig has the correct settings. Why is this not being used? How do I change to the correct settings? What prog is used to configure X?

Thanks.
Aubrey

Found it!!!!!

I ran kdmconfig & chose Xorg.
Then I ran xorgconfig & created Xorg.conf.

Graphics look great now.
