Hi,

I got a regen file from a HiPath 4000 system and I'm trying to figure out what forwarding option is configured:

M2 1 EINR-ZIEL:AUL,9876,VOICE,9998,,CFU,GEN,STATION;

M2 1 EINRICHTEN-ACTDA:TLN,9876,AUL,STATIONV,CFU,GEN,VOICE,0621777742;
M2 1 EINRICHTEN-ACTDA:TLN,9876,AUL,SYSTEM,,,VOICE,;

What happens when to call to 9876? Where is it being forward to?

I do not have access to the system itself to test it...

Tnx
Benami

Hi.

Did you make a test to see where the call arrives(9998 or 0621777742) when you are calling to 9876 ?
With first command calls should go to 0621777742 (variable fwd)
With second command call should go to 9998 (what is programmed in ziel - fixed fwd)
It is strange, both cannot be active in the same time as you provide in the regen.

If only the first command is active, than:
- you will have CFU to 0621777742
- and CFNR to 9998 (only if in Zand: alldata3 -> CFNRDEST=USECFUF) ... CFNR also will not be executed if 9876 is a Master hunt.

Try DIS-ACTDA to see what features are active on the extension. Since variable call forwarding can be turned off or on you should be avle to see if it is active or not. Just because it is in ZIEL doesn't mean it is activated, but ACTSA should tell you that. I just had that issue with one of my front desk phones. It is set up to forward on busy to the next phone in line but it wasn't. DIS-ZIEL showed me the exact forwarding that I expected to be there, but DIS-ACTDA showed no forwarding at all. In this case the answer was that the user had dialed ##90 instead of ##91 by accident when they went to shut off the variable forwarding, and instead they shut off the "system" call forwarding for that extension. In my case, dialing #90 was sufficient to fix my problem. That works for SYSTEM forwarding, but VARIABLE or STATION call forwarding (on a physical phone) can be controlled by the user. ACTDA can tell you if they have turned that on or not. It can also tell you if someone put their phone in DND and that is why they are not getting calls. You can also use DEL-ACTDA to "turn off" (not remove) forwarding, or DND settings that are causing problems.

The issue I'm having is that I don't have access to the HiPath.
The system is going to be replaced by a Cisco one. I got the regen file and I'm trying to build its configuration based on the Hipath's one.

1. Assuming both options are configured and the ZIEL is active, what will happen?
2. Is there a way to find out if the ZIEL is active from a regen file?

Tnx

1. You cannot have both options active (variable and fixed CFU in the same time).
Either you have fixed CFU (with: EINRICHTEN-ACTDA:TLN,9876,AUL,SYSTEM,,,VOICE,;) which activates what is programmed in ZIEL (it can be activated by user via FWD key pressing)
Either you have variable CFU (with: EINRICHTEN-ACTDA:TLN,9876,AUL,STATIONV,CFU,GEN,VOICE,0621777742;) - it can be activated by user via telephone menu by entering manually the desired forward destination - in this case : 0621777742)

If there will be a migration to Cisco: relevant info is only what is programmed in ZIEL,fixed destination (so the user can activate CFU from his device by only pressing the FWD key).
For variable FWD he must activate manually desired destination (which can be variable 0621777742 or other )
