I thought this would be simple but I'm slightly stumped.

My company was recently bought and I am integrating the phone system to do AAR dialing to other sites.

My phone system uses 1400-1499 for DID extensions

The parent company uses location code + ext for dialing between sites.
Some of the location codes are 1111, 1112, 1414, 1419, 1421, etc

To add to it the other sites are all Cisco and require a leading digit of #
Example: #1111 1234 or #1414 1234

I can't use # to just jump on AAR. #, length of 2 digits is being used as DAC.

I did a work around by inserting # in my Route Pattern so #1111 1234 works.
But with this setup I can't access any sites using #14xx as the location code because they get processed as a local extension.

I have my H.323 trunks working and I can make calls to sites that are NOT in the 14xx range.

Any suggestions?

Thanks a million.

You can't use # for aar but you can use something else maybe? Or just change your DAC's to something else and use # for aar.

You could setup UDP extensions like 11111234 or 14141234 and use aar to route.

Thanks fataldata. My system uses #N for many features and 100 was already setup to dial AAR. I managed to convince the big dogs that dialing 100 was a better option than changing the Dial Plan and Feature Access Codes.

Appreciate the help. Have a great day.
