Hi,

I have InDesign CS. Let's say I type the word "Adobe" into a text frame at 10 pt type, then click the Fit-Frame-To-Contents button. The frame will shrink to fit the word perfectly. Let's say next that I decide to increase the size from 10 pt to 14 pt. Now the contents are too big for the frame and the familiar plus sign shows in the bottom right of the frame indicating that the frame is too small.

Now for the question: are there any buttons or shortcuts for fitting the frame to the new, bigger contents without going through the steps of manually dragging the frame out and then re-clicking the Fit-Frame-To-Contents button?

Thanks for your info,
rj

I think the reason is due to the fact that your text has been predefined as a certain size (maybe you are using styles).
Logically the text wants to remain the size you have predefined.
The only way to change the text size to fit the bigger frame would be to change the text to outlines first.
