My team decided to implement commvault, we are a small shop and we run a heterogeneous environ but how application runs mainly on solaris 10. what attracted us to commvault is the content indexing, this might sound funny, does commvault content indexing work well with solaris file system. which files are supported in unix and can i have with 5 sub directory in it and the content indexing will still work.

We back up our Blue arc server using UNC path. We run CV 7 sp5....We have been very happy with it, although going to 8 we may need to look further testing..

btw. it doesn't matter how the fs is laid out on the client

Offline indexing is indexing everything that's been backed up/archived..when you run a CI job it will index all files related to that job
