Thanks in advance to everyone for their time and for this forum. Great stuff on here. I'm very familiar with the ACS system - but this is my first time using the IP Office. After installing the system, when callers call in to Ex10 and get the VM they hear the recorded greeting and then immediately afterwards they hear the name that the EX 10 owner recorded. I can't figure out how to change it so that people calling in only hear the recorded greeting. I'm wondering if the problem I'm having is because the voicemail seems to be set for Intuity mode and not IP Office mode. If I need to switch to IP Office mode can they still receive the VM to email? Thank you

Hi - thanks again for the help. I belive it's running 8.0.

So I guess I can't change it from Intuity? Is this something that can be fixed? I'm a little dissapointed in how the VM prompts work in this system. It took a few tries just to get it to record a greeting. But now the problem is, the customer doesn't want the callers to hear her name when they get her Mailbox, just the greeting.

Thanks

Again, which release of 8.0?

8.0(16)
8.0(42)
8.0(43)
8.0(44)

Something else? I think the site I had with that problem was on 8.0(16), and I think 42 corrected that

I'm looking at the saved configuration file I have and at the top it says 8.0(18) So I'm assuming that's it.

Do I have to purchase an upgrade to see if that fixes it? Is it downloadable?

And it is something wrong? I mean, I'm not crazy? It's not supposed to work like that correct? It shouldn't say the users name at the end of the VM greeting?
Thank you

You can change it to IP Office Mode under system parameters, even for Partner Mode. This will cure the issue, but change the prompts to IP Office mode prompts.

Thanks for the help. So you think the problem has something to do with it being in Intuity mode? Does changing it need a system reboot? I know where to change it to IP Office Mode using the Manager software, but what do you mean about changing the prompts? And if I change it to IP Office mode - will I lose any settings and can I still send the VM to email? The VM are going to email fine right now and I don't want to lose that feature. Thanks again!

you won't lose voicemail to email. It does fix the issue as it is not a bug with IPO mode, just Intuity mode. The prompts for listening, deleting messages, recording greetings are different in IPO Mode. If they only get their messages through email, they won't even notice.

Thanks again. So it's just the prompts that are different? Sometimes they use the visual vm to go through the msg's to delete etc. But learning new prompts shouldn't be a prob.

But does it require a reboot?

FYI - Changing it to IP Office mode worked. Thank you. And it didn't even require a reboot. Only problem left now is that the HFAI isn't working. Oh Well, I'm going to post that question in the IP Office Partner forum. Thanks again
