Hi guys,

I am working on my first Ip office and have a few questions and was hoping you could help me out.

1. I was under the impression that incoming call routes did not have to be created for DID's that match the extensions. When I call a DID it rings ALL the phones due to the default Hunt group that was built called "Main". When I remove the extension I am calling from that Hunt group, the call does not go through. I guess the simple question would be di I have to create an incoming call route for all DID's?

2. How do I set the ring count for forward no answer to VM? No matter what I do, the phones with voicemail go after 4 RNA. If I want the calls to go after 6 RNA, how do I make that happen.

Thanks you for your help in advance,

Dan

1)Yes you do need to create incoming call routes for all DID's - otherwise the call is handled byu the default Main incoming call route. You can use the Manager -> Tools -> MSN Configurator to speed the process.

2)To change the default no answer time system wide use Manager -> System -> Telephoney -> Telephony -> "Default No Answer Time (secs) ----- for 6 ring the no answer time should be about 30 seconds.

1) No you don't if 0123456700 is your first DDI of the range then add 0123456XXX as incomming number and as destination enter # so 0123456721 rings on extension 721.
If you extension don't match the first digit or Huntgroups.
Then 01234567XX then your destination is 1# so your 0123456787 ring on extension 687.

Instead of the # you could use E for extension, but you less flexible that way. I always use # mostly i use 3 digit extensions and 4 digit huntgroups.

2) It will use the "No answer time" of the first user.

Hay There

I have installed over a 100 Ipoffices.
Yes, you will have to create an incoming call route for
each of the DID's. This will direct the call to the correct
user and if they do not answer the phone then it will go to voicemail after the No answer Time set under
user-telephony-call setting-no answer time-default is 15.
This setting for the user will over ride the system time
below.

There is also a system wide time for voicemail cover that
is in the system-telephony-default no answer time is 15.

What info will be sent when they call out from a user that
has an incoming call route built?
NOTHING

If you fill in the full 10 digit number, then the called party will see 10 digit number.
If left blank then they will see nothing.

Installed over a 100? Ever read the manual?

I use both ways.
Sometimes all (you see where it is going to when it is not going to extensions)

If there is no number fille din then it shows the CLI anyway.

ROFL. They are both 'correct'. Either will work just pick a way that you prefer. I personally build an ICR for every DID just so I can keep track of those that are used and those that are not. But that is just me.

But then again maybe I shouldn't speak as I lost the little book keeping track of my IP Office installs over 7 years ago :-(
