I know how to tell in LD 86 what route is the first choice for outgoing calls but how do I tell what the first choice is for INCOMING traffic? I have one T1 and two copper routes and I don't know how to tell which route my inbound traffic hits first. Thank you for your help.

The CO should be routing those calls, get with your carrier and find out your opptions.

so there is no way for me to determine this information on my own? My local and long distance carrier is AT&T. They don't actually program my PBX, though.

You can call yourself with one of the numbers. Then go to LD 80 and do a trace to see what rout the call is coming in on. More than likely your 800#'s are riding in on the T1 and your local numbers are on the copper lines.

What do you mean by "one of the numbers"? and why would my 800#s come in on the T1 but my regular traffic on copper? if my AT&T T1 carries both local and long distance wouldn't I want to use my T1 for incoming local traffic? or does it not really matter to me since the caller is paying for the call?

If it is for local and long distance then you are correct the 800 #'s should also be coming in on the T1. As far as "one of the numbers" I just mean to dial one of your own Local & 800#'s and see how they come in.

what if I am trying to determine what route incoming traffic is coming in on at one of my remote offices? besides calling someone is there a way to do it remotely?
