We have CM 5.2 with s8300 as main server, g430/s8300 lsp.

for LSP we have upgraded the CM service pack as per compatibility
matrix. We did not upgrade the MM710B and MM714B firmware even though firmware is not latest(only 1 release down)

My concern is , Is it mandatory to upgrade firmware on MM and CM kernel? will we encounter issues later?

PRI is up, WAN is up, Gateway registered to main server, we can make
outside call with no issues.

Pls advise.


 
You can always read the readme files that go with the Kernel patches, Service Pack fixes, and FW fixes to make you aware of things that you may experience if you do not update to the latest.

If you are not way behind, it should be no issue to wait and see.

Unless you're experiencing problems or the FW of the MM's do not support the CM version you should be OK. Btw check the HW version of the MM710, I know there's some issue with v10 I believe (check support site).
