Firmware upgrade problem with BEFSR14W

I got v1.0 firmware on my BEFSR41W and need to upgrade the firmware.
Linksys support site has v.1.17, but it's upgradable only if you have v.1.16
or newer.

The release note says there's another way to upgrade from v1.15 or older.
Couldn't find any information to do that. Please help!

Easy way to find out if Linksys has any archives of your product's firmware is to ftp to ftp.linksys.com/pub/network/, use anonymous as user, no passwd (I think), and start looking for your model number and the version number you would like to upgrade to.

For instance, I have a BEFW11S4 router, I would download befw11s4v2-fw-1427.zip from that directory if I wanted version 1.42.7.
