I too, am on the verge of pulling my hair out. Here's the scoop.

Created Fireworks file (navigation w/rollovers) and saved both png and html and images into a subdirectory of dreamweaver website.

When I import the FW into DW, it keeps all files linked ABSOLUTE (file://). Shows up fine on my computer, obviously, but does not update when FTP'd through DW. HOW DO I EXPORT FW or IMPORT to DW so that the files (all of them) are relative linked?

Please help! I know there is a better way than manually changing some 500+ links in source code.

I must admit that I've never had that problem, h20mobius... I just save all my fireworks files in the images folder for the relevant site, then I can just drag the file from the files panel in DW to the table cell where I want it.

I thought I would reply with my "fix" should anyone stumble upon this post with a similar problem in the future.

Of all things, the problem was simple, yet masked. Most recently, our IT guy installed some new synchronization software. Little did I know, he also reprogrammed "My Documents" to mirror on our server.

Even though my site was local because it was set up under C:\Documents and Settings\myname\Desktop\My Documents\My Site, it was not truly local. My documents really linked to our U drive. As a result, it imported the paths as it is trained to - as external or absolute links.

The Resolution? Define my site on my desktop, and ensure it was truly on my HD. Hope this saves someone some time in the future, as this simple and "should have known" mistake cost me hours!
