Firewall slowing down Internet connection

Since installing the x700 I have noticed that the Internet connection really slows down. Other users have reported the same problem. Pings to are giving return times over 1000+ ms. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Thank you.

Try changing the Link Speed. Set it to the appropriate link speed with which you have optimum connection speed.

Also minimize the use of Proxies. It is always feasible to use a Proxy for Incoming connections and a Filter for Outgoing connections.
