imho, neither is professional enough...
i could be wrong about the 2k3 builtin firewall, but ive not used it much (on XP, a bit more, but then again, its not very advanced.)
it depends on what you want to do, what you need a firewall specifically for...
there are cheap and expensive hardware and software solutions, it depends what you need out of it.
i've a little network with a domain that share internet connection and file. i would protect the server and the clients with a firewall software from external attacks
what device do you use to connect to internet? an adsl router?
if so it may have firewall builtin that you can use without complicating matters further.
so the modem is connected to the server with the freeproxy installation then?
ok.
in that case, the windows firewall with sp1 should be enough.
you have a server that is multihomed (1 NIC on LAN, 1 adsl modem on internet) and you activate the firewall on the net connection only.
enable it just for http port 80 and you'll be fine.
