Firefox Autocomplete Annoyance

Hi all,
I have just installed firefox latest version on my work PC (W2K) and my work laptop (XPPro). Trouble is that when Im trying to access my corporate intranet on address

http://click/,

firefox automatically changes it in the address bar to

http://www.click.com/,

therefore I cannot access it!
Any ideas where I can stop this "feature"?

Which one didn't make a difference as I mentioned 3 different problems/fixes?

1) Re-install
2) DNS
3) No proxy

Or are you saying you tried all 3 and none of them made a difference?

Sorry ca8msm,
I have tried the No proxy suggestion and it hasnt had any impact, Ill try the other suggestions this evening and let you know. Tanks for the help.
