Hey guys! I had to replace a damaged power module after a system failure and now i cannot enable XPEC. The system continuously display the following error FIR003 and FIR004. This prevents me from using the LD32 to enable xpec. how do i stop the FIR003 error?

i am connected remotely now but i was at the site last night and i have to go back today.

There is a whole troubleshooting section in that NTP but eyes on the problem may isolate the issue quicker than anything.

that the same one that i am working from see page 127 for the steps i sent you..

my problem is that the controller card is disable and the system doesnt allow me to enable it.

It's not allowing you to enable the controller card because there is something else wrong, hence the FIR003 and 004 messages.

Yeah, I am going back on site now. I just got fibre patch cords and new controller cards sent from head office. I am gonna replace the these items and see if the fir003 error stops.

This isn't one of those Fiber Remote Multi IPE's is it with the external fiber box? Or is it the one with the NT1P61 and NT1P62 cards

Have you done the XNTT test in LD 32 to test the NT1P61?

Yeah NT1P61 in the network cab of the main system and NT1P62 at the remote IPE

Nope I didnt do that one but i would love to try it now

.stat 56

SUPER LOOP
DSBL RESPONDING
.xntt 56

TEST PASSED
FPEC CONNECTED

That looks good, could be misleading but I doubt it. That LBTN thing is kinda weird, not really a TN but a loopback channel. Have you tried entering the l1 s 99 or is that just bogus info in the book?

Nope it wont take L1 s 99

plus i just saw this error:

BSD825

BSD0825
Controller card is disabled.
Enable the card before performing the test.
Severity: Minor

I think a power cycle on that remote shelf is in order

I have powered down the remote ipe a few times and change controller cards, i am wondering if the fibre patch cords at the main site of the remote site may be faulty.

Kinda weird a patch cord would go bad. Do you have spare fiber strands to switch it to?
