Anybody please help. I am creating an aged inventory report with various aging bands. Records will be sent to the respective aging bands based on the date of the LAST purchase. What formula can I use to do this.
e.g
item key Purchase date
0001 01/01/99
0001 01/02/99
0001 01/03/99

what ever formula I am using must extract the entry where the purchase date is 01/03/99. I tried using maximum and got an error with evaluation times. But I only want the latest purchase date.

Thanks

Try grouping on {table.itemkey} and then go to report->edit selection formula->group and enter:

{table.purchdate} = maximum({table.purchdate},{table.itemkey})

This must be entered in the group selection formula area, not the record selection area.
