Hi,

Is there a way to know the Extension ID (the physical ID of the extension port) of a phone when I'm sitting in front of that phone (or in the Manager or something) ?

Some office swap have not been done in the "Extension" tab (but instead with some weird combination of "Clear values", "Reset Values", logoff and login), and now some phones do not login with the right extension # after a reboot. I would like to check all of them to make sure the right base extension is assign to the right Extension ID.

Regards,

SSA will tell you what the physical extension is, and what actual user is logged into it.
Also, in extensions, you can see what the ID is.

@AACon & @IPOnewbee : Thanks I'll take a look.

@hairless : Yeah I could put the blame on our service provider, but that would be an easy way out. The fact is I didn't get any training, and I'm an end-user with a brand new system installed less than 6 months ago. I'm still trying to figure out where everything is located.

Why do you need the extension ID?
You better know the extension number :)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Not all projects include training, especially when they are installed by "service providers". Plenty will be happy to train you, however.
