Hi all,

How do you find out which server a group has rights to access in Novell NDS with Console one or if not possible with a utility.

I am able to use the "rights to files and folders" tab in console one to find out one server at a time if the group has rights to this server but in a large organization like mine, it is very time consuming and almost impossible.

Is there an easier way to find out which server a group has rights to?

Thank you,
Mario

Nlist. Run it from a command prompt on any client.

Also, trustbar.nlm will output all trustee rights on the server it's run on in XML format. Lovely stuff.

Are you trying to find out who has permission to what files? or are you specifically talking about the nds server object and elevated priviledges that may have been granted?

Thanks for the responses!

Yes Marvhuffaker, I'm talking about who has permission to what files.

What is trustbar? I looked it up on the net and found nothing. Is it a third party utility or from Novell?

did you look on the novell support site?

It is from Novell. From the console, type
TRUSTBAR -H
This will pull up the help file.
