finding Question Mark within string (instr does not work)

hi guys
how do I find question mark "?" within a string? it seems that instr ("HELLO?","?") does not work. it must a like alternative instead of typing "?".

I must add that I wanted to do Replace but even REPLACE does not recognize it.

or just
Replace(s,"?", ".")

maybe what you think is a question mark is not actually a question mark?

Just look for Chr(63)

thank you guys, I dont know what is going on with email system but it did only sent me a single mail just now, anyway I found the problem which was in persian keyboard question mark key will move from character map 63 to 1567 which was not the one I was looking for.

this issue is resolved and I thanked your consideration indeed.
