Strange you posted this the same day I asked my question which was similar.
But, I would try these three in this order. Remember - nothing detects everything:
1. MalwareByte's Anti-Malware
2. ComboFix
3. GMER
If you want another opinion with some other products that I have not tried:

Does he suspect something or just paranoiding out?? The more you think about it the more paranoid you might get:
"What if there is a key logger on my machine but nothing will detect it."
