I would like to remove some old groups from a NT server. What is the best way to find if there are any type of rights/permissions associated with them?
They are not listed in the login script.
I suspect they are left over from an old Novell server and were migrated over.

Do they have any members? If not, shouldn't matter if deleted. If they do, you need to check if the user accounts are in use, and what they are used for.

Yes they have quite a few members and there are current users in them. There are many similar groups, very few are in the current login scripts. No house cleaning has been done on this network for many years so Im not sure what groups are even valid anymore. As time went on they just copied all the info from old users to create a new ones.
Is there any type of tool that could be run to find out?
