I have 2 drives 30 gig and 80gig. Ive just resinstalled windows on the 30 gig.

when I connected my 80gig (which has 3 partitions) only the final partition was recognised by windows. (or partition magic).

is there anyway to make windows recognise the earlier partitions or am I going to have to lose all the data and format?

please help.

If PM doesn't see the partitions, something's fishy.

What do you see in the bottom graphic in xp's disk management? --> Start, Run, diskmgmt.msc

disc 0 (c:) 27gb ntfs healthy (system)

cd rom (d:) healthy

disc 1 (e) 73gb ntfs healthy (Active)

its still regestering as being 70gb full and 4 gb free. but only the 3rd partition shows up in explorer and in disk manegement. which is about 50 gig.

got me stumped really

I tried using testdisk and it could only find the one partition. :(

things look grim :(
