Finding Duplicates

Looking for a way to find duplicate records in a table with approx 850K records.

There are supposed to be 35 dups.. any help is appreciated.

You have not specified what you are using, and you did not explain what you are going to do with the Duplicates.
Generaly, there are 3 steps to DETECT duplication.
1) Sort by the primary key.
2) Create a flag field.
2) Compare with the previous record, when duplicate, flag it ( example Flag field = 1)

An alternate approach is to highlight the field that should be unique and select Insert Summary. Set the operation to "Count" and the Group Field to the same unique field. Click OK.

Now highlight the new subtotal and open the select expert. Put in a rule that says: Count of "xxxxxx" is greater than 1. Ken Hamady
