Finding COBO development sofware to run on a PC

Hi,
I need to write software for a mainframe (COBOL) without access to the mainframe. What packages are available and do they have testing facilities. Will any allow me to emulate VSAM files in a test mode.

If this is not the right place for this question can someone direct me to where I should be looking.

How much VSAM capability (as opposed to standard COBOL indexed files) you need will determine which of the several development systems is right for you.

Hi,

I use CA-REALIA COBOL for that purpose. It is fast, very good mainframe look-alike, it does not tolerate - like the mainframe compiler - the wrong statements in the A margin, it supports for VSAM even the IBM specific second file-status.

I need help here, ..........I am also on the lookout for the same, Can u let me know if
CA-REALIA is available for a trail download for free. I wud get my mainframe connection in say abt a months time b4 which I need to do some background work.
please help. if not any other compilers and the urls to those sites.
