Dear expert,

I need to find out which extension does not have have the voice mail as customer request.
The problem is there are more than a thousand extensions in the pabx system and I need to compare them with the MM 13 one by one.
Is there any faster way to complete this request.

Thanks in advance!

to start, perhaps you might try printing an 'MWD' (Message Waiting Denied) from the switch and than cross-check against the list of mailboxes. I would eventually do a line-by-line check of all the existing Mailboxes to be sure.

I normally TNB the switch and use the conversion util to get it in Excel, add a second sheet and from callpilot search for users "*" and export details and paste it to the sheet. Text to columns, delimited ";" to get the callpilot stuff formatted in Excel. Then use VLOOKUP to search the DN in your TNB for a Match in the Callpilot DN column. to get a yes/no i would normally use something like:

=IF(IFERROR(VLOOKUP(B2,Callpilot!$C$2:$C$200,1,FALSE),"*")="*","NO","YES")

so the above if you had added a column to the TNB sheet called Mailbox and entered the above for the first line below the titles it would

Look at the Value on the same sheet (TNB) in B2 (i am assuming this to be the DN)
Look at the array on the Callpilot Sheet assuming that the DN's assigned to the mailboxes are in column C and there is only 200 rows
If it fails to find a match then the IFERROR assigns the value "*" and the the IF command says if the IFERROR="*" then put "NO" in the Cell
If it does find a match then the IFERROR does nothing so the "*" is not assigned and the IF shows "YES" in the Cell

you could then drag that all the way down your sheet

Another way that is long winded is to access the Meridian Mail system and go to the mailbox area to do a search on all mailboxes.

You can also define the search to look for any disabled mailboxes and delete them if they aren't required. Also look for the voice storage as some mailboxes could be full and they haven't been accessed or deleted by the user. I tend to make all mailboxes have any read messages to be deleted after a few days.

Whilst scrolling down the all mailboxes list, you could try to do a copy and paste onto a e.g. text file to do it one page at a time to get an accurate list of your Meridian Mail.

What does the customer really want? I have trouble understanding why they would care which phones don't have a mailbox.
Maybe there is an easier way to give them something useful.

I finally to check the call forwarding to mailbox feature for those extensions.
It works very good.
Thanks for your suggestions.
