Hi,

I have a new AP in the network that is configured by a web interface.
The problem now is that my router assigned an ip of our range to the AP and I don't know the ip of the AP so I can add new settings.
How can I discover the AP ip address?

Thanks

You should be able to look at DHCP and discover what address the unit was given.

Dan

And how can I look at dhcp? There is any command for that?

THanks

Are you using Windows 2003 DHCP or DHCP built into a switch or some other device?

Dan

I am not familiar with SMC Switches. I would suspect that they have a web interface that would show the DCHP clients.

Dan

I already have access to the router web interface where have an option to show the dhcp clients, but the AP doesn't appear.

Did you get any software with your new AP? If you did, try running this software on a PC not connected to the network, but directly cabled to your AP. You should then be able to set up your AP as desired, and then reconnect the AP to the network.
