Find a port used by certain IP/MAC address

I am trying to track down a rouge PC on my network, I have 2 x 3COM 4500 switches. How can I track down the port number this PC is plugged into on my switch? I have the IP & MAC address of this rouge PC.

Look at the outlet number where your PC is in, then go to your Patchcloset and follow the lead to the switch.

It tells u on what switch what mac address is connected and where are your problems.

I actually just got the MAC address from doing a "arp -a" and telnet into the switch and ran the command "dis mac-add" and it told me the port the rouge MAC address was using, much easier!

fyi...if you know the ip address, you can telnet to the switch, then ping the device, then do a dis arp ip address
