I need some help.

I have did everything succesfully in migrating to exchange 2003. However I still need to remove Exchange 2000 from the org. I have moved all the services and etc.

I have a question about connectors.

If i remove exchange 2000 will that screw up the connectors? Or are they global?

SMTP connectors? You need to migrate so that mail gets delivered to the 2003 box not the 2000 box from upstream. Then get 2003 delivering SMTP outbound email instead of 2000.

Check the PFs are replicated to 2003, rehome them onto the 2003 box, delete the replicas on 2000.

I've got a hyperlink on removing the last 2000 box but I can't find it - will try to post it.

Then pull the network cable on the 2000 box and wait and see. If there are no changes, great, if things stop, put the cable back in.

Once no problems are found, uninstall Exchange from the 2000 box.

I completed all the steps above. I have had the server turned off for 2 weeks now.

I just needed to know about the connectors.

Thanks

I figured out the issue. I just went ahead and removed exchange 2000 and all seems well. I still have one more issue.

I have some old Internet Mail Connectors. I guess they are from old exchange servers. How can I easily remove them?
