Filtering records on form and sub form

Hello, first let me say thanks to all the help on this site.

I'm trying to set up a filter where i have a Form / sub form
the top half is the form, used to edit a record.
the sub form is in data sheet view of the form.
what i' trying to do is have a list box or combo box on the top form so i can choose a players name and have the sub form show only the records associated with that player.
Each player has a Player_ID but many records associated to him
I'm not sure how to set up that filiter.

I would use the Link Master/Child properties of the subform to filter the displayed records on the subform. The link master will contain the name of the list box or combo box.
