Hi...

From a crosstab query called qryAll (the qryAll contains crosstab queries and tables), we developed a make table call tbltest. We now gernerated a form from the tblTest. Our problem is, we are not able to filter by our search fields (ex. P/N, Program#, and SS#) to call up the associated records.

The fields can currently pull down and we are able to select from the combo box list, but once choosen, it modifies the record itself.

Hi,

Your form is bound to your table so when you select your search criteria you are modifying the underyling field the combobox is bound.

You can create another form, copy/paste the controls you are using for the search criteria, unbind them but change the rowsource to an appropriate query, create a command button called "Search". In its On Click event build a filter string based upon the search criteria selected. Assign the string to the main form's Filter property. Set it's FilterON property to true. Unload the search form.

Have a good one!
