Hello,

I was wondering if knows of a way to filter out certain attachments, such as all *.pif. I figure this would help stop some virus getting through.

Thanks,

If you're using MS Outlook 2000 as your email client then install the Outlook 2k Email Security Update, its included in Office 2k Service Pack 2. This blocks attachments which MS deem as unsafe, such as .exes and .bats and .scrs and also includes .pif files. See MS KB262631 for full list.

You could use a third party software, such as Symantec anti-virus/filtering for Exchange. I've used it. It's saved me countless times.
