I have a form with an embedded subform. The property sheet for the embedded subform has the option to "Filter on Empty Master."

I switch the option from yes (default) to no, and I see no difference.

Can someone please explain what this option does?

Thank you.

According to MSDN Online:

Subform.FilterOnEmptyMaster said:
Gets or sets whether all records are displayed when the subform's master field is Null. Read/write Boolean.

Never used it myself but it seems to indicate that if the master linked field is NULL and this property is true, all records will be shown. if this property is false, they will not be shown.
