Hi,

Please, please can you help me. I'm stuck !!

I need to fill a range of cells in a column (going downwards) with a range of dates starting 16th June 2003, and then each cell needs to increment down by 1 month at a time.

However, even though I filled in the first 2 which increment by 1 month, when I try to do a fill it increments the year instead of the month.

I looked up the help file but it doesn't seem to be helping me at all.

Regards,
Jay

Hi Jay,

This method will work. This formula is based on your example - that indicates you want to maintain the day-of-the-month, from month to month.

After entering your start date in A3, enter this formula in A4...
=DATE(YEAR(A3),MONTH(A3)+1,DAY(A3))

Then you only need to copy the formula down for as many rows as you require.

Hope this helps. :) Please advise as to how it fits.
