On a SCO unixware 7 system I have it setup to support files greater that 2GB. I have tested that I can create large files by
dd if=/devzero of=big bs=1024k count=2100

but if i use a C program to loop thru' appending data to a file it stops after 2GB. I presume i need some flag to tell the compiler. Anyone any ideas.

Hi keenanbr,

I dont believe that SCO supports files greater than 2Gb.

The check is to enter:
ulimit

from root say and this will give the current maximum size of a file.
