When inserting a word document into a filemaker pro database, I get the following error which I cannot find a reference to anywhere.

"Filemaker Pro cannot complete the operation because of an OLE (0x80004002) error."

I only get this when trying to insert a word document on an XP Professional computer. Our 2000 and 98 computers are fine. I have tried Office 97, 2000 and XP and all 3 come up with the same error when inserting a Word document. We are running Filemaker Pro 3.0 but I have also downloaded the demo version of 6 and it does the same thing.

Anyone have any ideas? I have tried everything I can think of.

Thanks.

ok....1st lets change (MIS) to (user) :)
Just kidding....
ANY .BMP file can be changed into ICOon file by a FREE software made by a Bosnian kid

u can alway make an image by taking a screenshot of icons....and make them .gif (if need transparency) or any image file that can be changed into .ico
since ur so lazy
All the best! :)

I just went out to download.com and got gconvert 3.8. It will extract the icons out of dll's and executables. Pretty nice program.
Got the file enlarged also. I had to unlock it first before I could make any changes. This will be alot of work if they want all of these changed and redone.
Thanks for the help.

there we go ...ur back to (MIS) ;-)
nice work....and good luck!
