Hey guys, hopefully you can help me with this mess. :/
My secondary HD has been having issues for awhile, software for example ends up smaller once downloaded, then the serverside file is. I assumed faulty files for awhile, but this begain to happen quite frequently. So, I tried a defrag. Froze up. So then I try a chkdsk /r, hoping it just an error blocking the defrag. This freezes as well, at "verifying file data (4/5)." So, now I tried running a diagnostic program, released by the manafacturer, Seagate. Here are the results. Notably, failed file structure test. Would a LLF help me in this situation at all? Anything else to do? Or should I just use my warranty on the drive?
Many thanks.

Diagnostic Results:

90-Second Test Result: Passed
Recommendation:
The "Quick Test" is adequate for most situations.
Consider running the "Full Test" which
verifies each sector on the drive if you need to run a more
comprehensive diagnostic.

SMART Status Check Result: Unsupported

S.M.A.R.T., (S)elf (M)onitoring (A)nalysis and (R)eporting (T)echnology, a built-in hard disk drive failure prediction method reports an 'Alert' if a problem has occurred. It reports 'Passed' if no problems are found and 'Unsupported' if a hard disk drive does not support S.M.A.R.T.
Full Diagnostic Scan Result: Skipped

File Structure Test Result:

Partition 1 (NTFS (160 GB) Personal Disk) Result: Failed with critical Errors

NOTE: Any report of possible errors in the file system tests are for
informational purposes only. We suggest you should consider testing with
the official file system diagnostic utilities for your operating system.
Seagate is not able to assist with troubleshooting or reviewing
file system test results.

Recommendation:
If you are not experiencing data loss and SeaTools reports File
System Structure errors, they may be caused by a lock-up or
failure to shutdown Windows correctly. Many times, these errors
may be repaired through normal system maintenance which
includes using the Windows provided "Defrag" and
"Scandisk / Chkdsk / Error Checking" utilities.

If you are experiencing a hardware error, you should isolate
the cause and replace the failing component. If you are unsure how
to proceed with repairs, contact a computer professional. After
completing any maintenance tasks, run SeaTools again to
verify that all errors have been repaired. If errors continue to
occur, the system may not be stable. Again, contact a computer
professional.

Sounds like the drive is failing. I'ld back it up NOW and look for a new one.

First, turn on the SMART in the BIOS, sounds like its turned off. Run the diag again and see what the SMART diagnostic says about the drive.

If the SMART check is OK, then try a utility like Norton Win Doctor or something similar and try to repair the file structures. The third party utilities will "generally" do a better job of repair than the built-in ones. You don't even have to install Norton Utilities. Win Doctor will run from CD as will Disk Doctor. If running WinDoctor or similar utility (there are plenty of other utilities out there, I generally use Win Doctor, because I have found that in most cases it works quite well, but the other I hear are fine too) does not work, then back up the files and reformat the drive and restore the files.
