File search output to file

When searching for files, etc., in W2K, is there anyway to output the results to a text file or other useful format? Or is there a freebie utility that does this well? Thanks.
 
you mean like the following?

(from the command prompt)

c:>dir /s >list.txt

:)
 
pps you may want to run the above command on a smaller subdirectory hehehe...
 
Actually I'm running CIFS on a NetApp Filer and the directory I'm scanning is over 500GB. I found a utility on CNET called Effective File Search (shareware) that is working great. It can output to a CSV file for reporting. Thanks.
