file open failed(12) while doing Exchnage Backup

We had a power hit and ever since that the exchange 5.5 database backup is failing with file open failed(12)error.
The file system backup is good on the same server.
We have NBUP-4.5(MP6) runnning on Win2k (SP4).

Sounds like hardware issues resulted from the power hit. Have you verified that the disks are operable in the Exchange server??

Disks are good.
File level backup on the same disk is good.
Exchange is running.
Anyone seen this issue.
