Okay, so over the past few years I have done dozens in Win2k installs. But today I encountered a roadblock that I could not get passed that I have never seen before.

I had a harddrive with WinXP Pro on it and I was gonna put Win2k on it over XP. I tried to format the HD and it told me to do a fdisk. I tried to do the fdisk but it won't do it Then I used Win2k startup disks on the PC and got this Error code when I put the first disk in:

File \ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded.
The error is code 7.
Press any key to exit.

I press any key and it beeps at me and does not exit. I ctrl, alt, del and then reboot and got the same thing again. I have Partition Magic 8.0 and it will not load and I need help deleting all the partitions so I can install 2=Win2K on my PC. The Computer came with Win98 and I am not sure if any of the files are still on it now. What can I do?

I'm Not sure i understand what you are tring to do, are you trying for a dual boot win2K/Win XP or are you just wipping off win xp to install win2K.
Have you tried to boot off a dos boot disk to format or use fdisk, a win 98 Start up disk will allow you to format

This article talks about faulty ram or resetting your bios back to default settings.

A freeware ram checking program can be downloaded here.

For normal Single Processor use I don't think this file is necessary. Perhaps all you can really do is work through the following article then take the machine to a repairer.
