In Lotus Notes, I was able to email links to files on the network without displaying the whole path - you could 'hide' the path behind some more sensible text, eg 'Click Here'.

We've now switched to Outlook 2000, and I've found out how to send links to files, '<file:\\etc...>', but it can look a bit messy, especially if you're listing a few links in the same email! Is there a way in Outlook to do what I did in Lotus Notes?

You will have to switch to HTML then. You can then use something like:
<a href=&quot;C:\Windows\notepad.exe&quot; NotePad</a>

If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, expect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.

Thanks for that! I'm pretty new to Outlook and have found myself with 100 people at work to help out (and 100 digital certificates to apply for, install and backup..joy..), so I'm having to learn quickly!
