File Field Control Filtering

Is there a way to restrict the file types a user can upload using the HTML File Field Control? I would like to filter out only .jpg and .gif files.

DH, I couldn't accomplish this task through the control itself, but I was able to do it once the file was selected and the submit button was clicked.
