Hello everyone,
I am running an application that I think is a combination of Foxpro and some .PRG files.

In my main application folder I have some files that have the following extensions:
.473 , .474 , .475 ,.476 , .477 , .FXT, .FPT ,.FRT ,.LBX, .OVL, .LST ,.LBT , .PL1 , .SCX ,.SPR ,.SCX and .SUM.

Any idea what these files are and how they relate to FoxPro or Prolog ( Assuming that the .PRG files are prolog files, I could be wrong)

Any help is appreciated.
thanks in advance

Rosalia,

See my response in your other thread.
.PRG must be FoxPro program files, not Prolog.
As for other file extensions, see the links below.

Some of them, like the number extensions, might be created by and specifically for your application (the files don't HAVE to have standard extensions, you may use your own, just specify those custom extensions when opening them).
I would think that you might find a clue as to what those number extensions are in your programs (yes, those .PRG files). You can start by opening them with any text editor - the simpler the better).

Thanks Stella for the post.
You are such a life saver. I will certainly investigate those .PRG programs.
I have opened them up in Notepad and will take a look at them for any reference as to the creation of those files.
thanks again for your help.
Appreciate it :)

hello All,
So stepping back for a moment, if I wanted to go down the painful route of extracting just the data from the FoxPro tables and then re-writing the code, is there any other tool that can help me extract the entire data without compromising its integrity.

Thanks in advance
R.
