Hello everybody,<br><br>I want to transfer file from IIS to client's HDD by http protocol - http file download but I don't want to obtain &quot;Save as Dialog&quot; (totally in the background).<br><br>Is it possible download file by the totally hiden way?<br><br>How ?<br><br><br>Thanx in advance.<br>Have a nice day.<br><br>Richard

You can't do this.&nbsp;&nbsp;Think how easy it would be to introduce a virus to someone's system if this was allowed.<br><br>However,&nbsp;&nbsp;you could write a little applet or ActiveX control that your users could install that would allow this.<br> <p>nick bulka<br><a href=mailto:nick@bulka.com>nick@bulka.com</a><br><a href= > </a><br>

Dear Nick,<br><br>many thanks for responding<br><br><br>Richard

Hi Nick,
It is possible to display a dialog box for the user to download the document. I have an asp page that lets the user view the file and also another button that gives them the option to save it to their hard disk. Can you please share any sample code if you have any,

thanks and your help is greatly appreciated

Kiran
