Everytime I try to save a Lotus file, it comes up with the error "File contention prevented accessing the file". The file cannot be saved back into the file server and I have to first save it into the local drive, then copy it back into the file server. How can I fix this problem? Any help will be greatly appreaciated. Thank you. [sig][/sig]

You need to get your network person to examine this problem as is in not within the Lotus software at all. It could be a "permission" problem or other network setup situation that prevents you from updating files! [sig][/sig]

This is gonna seem ignorant but how do you give someone permission? Thanks for the help.

If you are using a Novell server then the solution is to install the latest Novell client on your PC. Graham
