File & Storage reporting applications

Can anyone recommend a good app (free or not) that can analyise and generate reports on files and file storage?

I need to run a report on 2 TB of files and specifically need to highlight types of file, file sizes, and most importantly - who owns them!

Not sure exactly what you need but you could have a look at

http://www.systemtools.com/somarsoft/index.html

and find dumpsec. This has probably been superceded now but still very useful.
