FIJI Boards - Explanation

Hello,

I have an Option 81C with 4 FIJI boards. Because I am getting reoccurring false alarms I was told that I need to upgrade the Firmware from version 14 to 19.

I need to explain to management what the FIJI card does. I understand that the fiber optic connects to a specific shelf but would like to actually give a good description to explain why we need to upgrade the Firmware.

The FIJI card handles all inter-group traffic, connects all of the groups so they react as one

Is there an LD that would tell me which shelves the FIJI card supports.

Since one of our FIJI card is ok, I need to know which TN's will not be effected.

all of the information is in LD 39.....But the fiji has a display that will show the group and shelf it's in.... ie: G1S0 is group 1 and shelf 0 etc..
