Fields usable for creating MAPS

Does anyone know what types of values can be used to create a maps in Crystal?

Specifically, can Crystal recognize ZIP Codes as geographic areas?

Yes it can if you have the correct map layer. Crystal comes with quite a few layers but I don't think it goes into the detail of zip codes, other layers can be added by creating them or buying them.
